PLEASE HELP SUPPORT AUSSIE RESCUE IN AZ AT OUR LATEST RAFFLE FUNDRAISER!!!

Aussie Rescue in AZ has been invited to hold a fundraising raffle at the Australian Shepherd Club of Arizona's 34th annual Silver Specialty & Stockdog Trials on Saturday, November 25, 2006.  The location is EMPTY ACRES, 10300 S. Miller Road in Buckeye, AZ beginning at 7:30 A.M. and ending around 4 or 5 P.M.  There will be herding, confirmation and obedience trials for all to enjoy!

Special Raffle

The tickets for this raffle will be sold as a "stretch" for $25 ONLY

We will be holding a special raffle for a beautiful Aussie Throw (pictured below) donated by Nancy Tierney.  A consolation prize of an Aussie key/leash holder and Aussie sticker donated by Pat Goodspeed (pictured below) will be offered.

Also, doggie goodies will fill these bowls, made and donated by Eva Vischules

Be sure to stop by our booth at the Silver Specialty to see the other great items available!  See you there :-)

We have experienced some expensive medical situations with our latest rescues that have put a tremendous strain on our finances.  Aussie Rescue in AZ would appreciate any support you can offer.  We have some exciting doggie items to be raffled, as well as a few human prizes.  If you can donate new items for the fundraiser to help ensure that we can continue to provide the medical attention many rescues need, it would be greatly appreciated.  If you would like to donate, please contact Alice at 480-838-2267 or email me at aussierescue@cox.net  If time is running short, please bring your donated items to our booth at the Silver Specialty.  And please remember that we are always looking for great foster homes, so if you're interested, please let me know.

Pictures taken at the raffle!

Here are some pics taken at the raffle.  With the tables set up and the doggies enjoying the cool morning, the slow start gave us some time to relax.  An electronic dartboard was donated for the raffle, but was pulled due to lack of interest (no tickets sold).  Bud (a rescue adopted by Alice and Richard) along with Lucy & Molly (Alice's dogs) hung out in the x-pen enjoying all the attention.  Yahto & Angel (AussieLads rescues) enjoyed all the activity of both the dogs and the people.

The Aussie Throw was won by Luanna from California.  She's the mom of 3 Lethal White siblings who didn't hesitate to buy a stretch of tickets to help other Aussies in need.  Congratulations Luanna!

Lucy was entered in one of the shows and although she didn't win, here are some pics of her in the ring.  Of course, she took the time to thank her handler by giving her a big kiss :-)
